Founded in 2015 by Dr. Kimberly F. Jackson, Physicians Working Together (PWT) has been quietly yet tirelessly working to foster collaboration, support, and mentorship within the medical community. Over the past decade, PWT has connected thousands of physicians, shared essential resources, and championed better healthcare practices. However, the time has come to bring this work into the spotlight and extend our impact even further.

The Med Gala is more than a prestigious event, it is a pivotal initiative designed to benefit PWT and its cornerstone programs, including the Annual Medical Student Scholarship and the Future Physician Mentorship Program. To date, we have proudly impacted nine medical students from nine different medical schools across the country. This achievement has fueled our hope and determination to expand our reach and do even more within our local community.

Columbus, Georgia, is on the cusp of becoming a significant hub for medical education and healthcare excellence, with new medical school programs emerging in the surrounding area. PWT is committed to building strong partnerships with these institutions, ensuring that our physicians are ready and available to mentor and support students throughout their medical school journey. Our goal is clear: to retain these future physicians in our community, strengthen our local healthcare system, and contribute to the economic vitality of the region.
